A return to form. I wept like a baby.

If I got to choose a spin-off series for The Raven Cycle, I would have chosen Ronan Lynch. I have so much love for the Raven Cycle, a story of friendship. And this series did not disappoint. I loved learning more about the Lynch brothers and their father. Ronan is one of my favorite characters and seeing him grow from a rebellious teen into an other-worldly badass was perfection. Thank you Maggie for this series.

I'm definitely glad at every turn that this book reminded me this story was about the Lynch brothers, because it really was. I'm also very glad that it made me so fucking soft for Declan; the fact that he'd been telling himself this story about Niall for years only to find out it was built on a crumbling foundation solely so he wouldn't crumble himself was wonderful and horrible and so damn Declan. Matthew continued to be absolutely lovely and not once did I think that you could put something that lovely in the world and not let the world hang onto it so it was excellent to have that faith rewarded. Adam and Ronan were *happy sighs* so young and had such big feelings and they navigated that... not perfectly but realistically. Also just as I was beginning to get to: it makes no sense that Blue or Gansey haven't been updated on these happenings, they were mentioned so it was nice the book managed to bonk me back into the story just as I was starting to poke my head up from it. I just really love this universe and I'm going to miss it!!
