Tillyissä on ihana lämmin tunnelma! Olispa jo joulu
Even though I personally don’t like fairytales and the shallowness of many characters in fairytales, I have to give this five stars for the writing style and the world and the characters Anna James has created.
Tillyn seikkailut kirjojen maailmassa alkoivat Tilly ja kirjamatkaajat -kirjassa, jossa Tilly sai tietää olevansa kirjamatkaaja. Hän pystyy herättämään lempikirjojensa henkilöt eloon ja voi sukeltaa kirjojen tapahtumien keskelle. Kirjamatkailu osoittautui kuitenkin myös mahdollisesti vaaralliseksi.
Tällä kertaa kirjamatkaajien maailmassa kuohuu. Englannin Salakirjasto, joka hallitsee kirjamatkailua, on päättänyt hyllyttää Tillyn ystävän Amelian johtajan paikalta edellisen kirjan tapahtumien johdosta, ja tilalle valitaan uusi johtaja. Kuinkas ollakaan, uusi johtaja ei ole mikään mukava mies, vaan vaikuttaa melkoiselta vallanhaluiselta ketkulta, joka haluaa kontrolloida ja säädellä kirjamatkailua hämäräperäisistä syistä.
Tillyn isovanhemmat ovat syystäkin tuohduksissaan ja mummo pääsee luennoimaan siitä, kuinka pelko ajaa ihmiset toisaalta aiheettomaan vihaan ja toisaalta noudattamaan käskyjä, joita pitäisi ennemmin kyseenalaistaa. Aina ajankohtaista yhteiskunnallista kommentaaria siis!
Varsinaiset seikkailut sijoittuvat kuitenkin Pariisiin, jonne Tilly ja Oskar matkaavat vierailemaan Oskarin luona. Mummo vannottaa lapsia olemaan kirjamatkailematta, eikä varsinkaan epäluotettaviin satuihin – koska saduillahan ei ole selkeää lähdeteosta ja yhtä varmaa olomuotoa – pidä missään nimessä mennä. Kenellekään ei liene yllätys, mitä lapset Pariisissa tekevät.
Siinä missä edellinen osa oli selvästi kokonaisempi teos, tämä on taas hyvinkin selvästi sarjan väliosa. Asioita ei liiemmin selitellä, eli jos edellistä osaa ei ole lukenut, on luultavasti pihalla kuin lintulauta, ja toisaalta tapahtumat jäävät aivan kesken, loppu ei oikeastaan paketoi juuri mitään, vaan jättää lukijan odottamaan seuraavaa osaa.
Tarina on kuitenkin edelleen vetävä, helppolukuinen ja kaikille kirjoista ja lukemisesta kiinnostuneille lapsille varmasti mielenkiintoinen ja houkutteleva. Seuraavaa osaa odotellessa!

I think I loved this one even more than the previous one! I loved seeing how the magic system is expanding and things are becoming a bit more political.
Once again, the atmosphere is one of this book's strengths. Not only are we getting the bookshop setting of [b:Tilly and the Bookwanderers|32946432|Tilly and the Bookwanderers (Pages & Co. #1)|Anna James|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1533122707l/32946432._SX50_.jpg|53569561], but this book is set during Christmas time! It made me wish I could be curling up by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate while snow is falling down.
The ending made me both so mad and so excited. I typically hate cliffhangers, but I think it works really well in this one. I'm also very excited at the things that have been hinted at and it makes me want to read the third installment RIGHT NOW!

We set of to Paris, where the winter month of December puts everything in a fairytale kind of vibe.
It’s wonderful to learn that book wanders exist in all different country’s! It feels like the world is expending by it.
Tilly, with a big heart for adventures and being a little bit naïef at crucial parts, sets of with Oskar into a new fairytale quest.
The setting and atmosphere are beautifully done and more humorous moments made me laugh out load.

I have read Tilly and the lost fairy tales by Anna James. This is the second book in the Pages and Co. series. I read a physical copy from the library and listened to the audiobook at the same time. Read this for my Series TBR.
I enjoyed this even more than book one! I really loved the fairy tale aspect in this book. It was very well done and an ode to all the amazing stories. The character that bothered me a bit in book one, was different in this one, which was also awesome. The thing I enjoyed the most was the overarching plot that was started in book one, that continued in this one and will continue in the next one. Really love when authors do that. So really excited where this will all go!
