Enjoyed the setting & characters continued from the 1st in the series, but the story was not as exciting, and the book seems to end just when it’s about to get really interesting.

Nigdy nie spodziewałabym się, że książka z literatury dziecięcej może być tak ciekawa i wciągająca- a taka właśnie jest Tilly. Pierwszy tom to była po prostu dobra rozrywka, ale ta część jest o wiele bardziej ekscytująca i mroczna- oczywiście nie za bardzo, bo to wciąż książka dziecięca.
Więź przyjaźni, łącząca Tilly i Oskara, jest cudowna <3 Oni tak o siebie dbają i tak są ze sobą związani, że trudno ich nie pokochać. Na każdym kroku sobie pomagają i są nierozłączni.
Klimat tej historii również jest świetny- przeróżne biblioteki zapełnione po sufit książkami, mroczne baśnie i postacie wychodzące z książek. W tym tomie mamy jeszcze dodatkowo wspaniały klimat zimy i świąt. Nie można też nie wspomnieć o tajemniczości, którą tutaj tak bardzo czuć.
Przez książkę dosłownie płynęłam i często były momenty, w których nie mogłam się od niej oderwać. Miałam w planie przeczytać jeden rozdział, a skończyło się na tym że przeczytałam ich kilka.
Odbiegając trochę od oceny samej historii, chcę jeszcze pochwalić samo wydanie. Litery mają fajną czcionkę, dzięki czemu bardzo przyjemnie się czyta, okładka ma piękne, złote elementy, a w środku znajdziemy prześliczne obrazki <33

I recommend this series to everyone! The atmosphere is so so so cozy I absolutely love it. I listened to this one and I must say that reading it physically is a better experience so I will do that with the other books, BUT the French accent that was used was really fun to listen to. Looking forward to reading the next books some day, they are honestly perfect for fall and winter.
As is the case for nearly all sequels, this one didn’t live up to its predecessor. I think I loved the first one so much because the concept was so original (readers transporting into books, a secret library in the British Library). Revisiting Tilly’s world of bookwandering was like travelling to a beloved destination a second time - you can never recapture the luster that only newness can bring. I was more aware that I was reading a kids' book this time around. 3.5 stars rounded up.

Another fabulous book in this heart-warming series. This time, the focus of the book is fairy tales and something sinister is happening… Tilly and Oskar find themselves in a fairy tale where there are strange occurrences and weird changes to the stories as they know them. I already can’t wait for the next book to hit my shelves.

This book was the absolute sweetest and pure serotonin. I read the first book in this series in 2019 never really thinking I would continue it, but I just randomly picked this up, and devoured it. This series is basically just pure nostalgia for me. Although it's a new story but reminds me so much of the books I loved as a kid as well as the indescribable magic of bookstores, libraries and just books in general. I especially loved this book because fairytales were the core of the story and well I've been in my obsessed with fairytales era since 2016 so that was an automatic win for me. So bottom line is now I need all the whimsical middle grade recs...
