This is a gripping and intriguing read that will captivate fans of historical fiction, crime sagas, and strong female protagonists, particularly those who enjoy stories about women's empowerment, post-war London, and the gritty, glamorous world of gangs and underworld crime.

Never in ‘a month of Sundays’ have I been so disappointed by a BotM credit.
Each character was more boring than the next and I kept waiting for anything exciting to happen.

Still deciding if historical fiction is for me… but I liked the story of gals being powerful and stealing from men

I wasn’t a huge fan of this book. It seemed like there was either way too much going on or not much of anything going on; no real in between. The back and forth first person POV was confusing as well. I could never remember if I was reading as Nell or as Alice. I think this is a series but I don’t think I’ll be reading the rest of them.
