First off, I have to say that I had a blast reading this book as it kept me on my toes constantly. I seriously had no idea what Elizabeth and Damien would do next or what madness was next in this spicy and cleverly written Legal Drama.

Elizabeth is already late to an interview at a firm that is prestigious but more so infamous for having zero to one hiring rate.๐Ÿ˜ฒ. Add to it, that she has an misfortunate incident which she cleverly flees away from. ๐Ÿ˜…

The twister happens when she comes face to face with her morning incident who's none other than the boss lawyer at the very firm she's to interview at and from whom she fled away this morning.

Damien Carter is Cold and unemotional. He likes working in a straight forward way and doesn't dabble in the right or wrongs of things but is smack dab in the grey zone where morals are concerned.

There are certain things that hinted to Elizabeth having secrets of her own but the fact that she was hiding things didn't overshadow her genuineness and sass that was as real as her bold personality because the way she went toe to toe with Damien, I was awed by it. But she definitely didn't do it in an aggressive way but more of a smart woman who will not take your sh*t kinda way.

The sprinkles of spicy scenes in between these two having a face off with each other made this ride a fascinating one.
I seriously was waiting to see what would happen next.

Ughh... The way Damien kept on increasing her workload and providing Elizabeth with absolute no help and her struggling and doing her best and the various cases they solve and work on gave me, the legal Drama, "Suits", vibes but with spice in it.

I have to mention, my other favourite, Andrew Hamilton, from Reasonable Doubt. He was so crack and fun with his straight off way and just being Obsessed with his family ๐Ÿ˜ but more with his special Coffee.๐Ÿ˜…

I definitely wouldn't have minded this book being a bit longer as I would've loved more time with Damien and Elizabeth. Loved this one.โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Elizabeth Tanner was in a rush to get to an interview at a pretigious law firm, but a fender bender with a Maclaren was not on her list of things to do. And wouldn't you know it, the owner of the car is the same person she is interviewing with...Damien Carter. It doesn't matter how much he hates her or how she doesn't keep up with is unachievable timeline, Elizabeth stuck around. But not everything is adding up when it comes to Elizabeth. Even after they go from enemies to lovers, Elizabeth stayed mum about her weekends out of pocket and other things about her personal life. Plot twist... was not expecting THAT but it made the inconsistencies in Elizabeth's story make sense.

I enjoyed reading this story. It felt a little like something I've read by the author before, but nonetheless enjoyed it. I laughed out loud at the banter and the deadpan comments Elizabeth and Damien had with each other.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

This book was everything that I love in a romance.  I was completely taken with Damien and Elizabeth.  Their interactions were full of fun banter, sharp wit, and intense chemistry.  I loved that Elizabeth held her own against Damienโ€™s dominating presence.  She came in like a wrecking ball and he didnโ€™t know what had hit him.  It was hilarious, heartwarming, and completely intoxicating.

I was so excited to read this book because the blurb sounded awesome but unfortunately, this was a huge let down. Everything right from the main characters' backgrounds and their relationship was underdeveloped and I just couldn't understand when the hell did they fall in love because they knew next to nothing about each other. I liked Elizabeth, she was smart, strong, sensible and could definitely stand up for herself and this is the only reason I'm giving this book an extra star. Damien was a horrible son of a bitch and I wanted him to grovel hard but all we get is him stalking her throughout the separation and then there's a last chapter where she takes him back. I had some huge expectations from this book because I have previously enjoyed reading the author's work but this one fell flat tbh.

I received an advanced copy and was really excited about this story. I liked Elizabeth and Dameon as individuals but the spice level wasnโ€™t where itโ€™s been in some of Whitney Gโ€™s other stories. There was a twist I didnโ€™t see coming, which was great. One issue I had was at times it was difficult to discern who was talking. At one point I had to make an assumption based on what was said because who the hero was talking to was never actually stated. If you can go
With some assumptions it was an enjoyable story.

This book showed so much promise, but I feel cheated after reading it.  To begin with I loved the character of Elizabeth.  She was just so strong and ballsy, giving as good as she got and proving herself more than a match for the arrogant and dominant hero Damien.  Some of their exchanges were fantastic as she stood up to the morally grey lawyer on a regular basis.  But then as more of the story unfolded it was practically anorexic on the details and by the end of the book there was so many threads left hanging and I had so many questions especially involving her twin.  Not least of all, why did she end up where she did and why was the FBI so interested.  As Iโ€™ve said I did enjoy Elizabeth and Damien together, but I canโ€™t help thinking Iโ€™ve just read a book where someone has ripped out half the pages.

Filthy Lawyer was highly entertaining and amusing. It had me laughing. It comes off as just a steamy office romance but there was more to it than that which I loved. I loved these characters and their journey even though the connection between the main characters wasn't as strong as I would've liked it to be. This was still such an enjoyable, flirty, fun and banter filled read. I definitely recommend it. I'm looking forward to reading the next I the series.
