I feel a little lost now that I’ve come to the end of this incredible Green Creek journey. I still love Ox and Gordo the most, but the way this family has grown and changed over the course of four books reminds me that there’s always room in my heart for more - I love each character for different reasons and in different ways. Just like the first three books in this series, Carter’s story is emotional and inspiring, and I just loved him so much. He really is stupid and almost dies a LOT, but bless his heart, he has good intentions. Gavin took me a while to warm up to, but by the end I absolutely adored him as much as the rest of the pack. Now I’m just going to be sad for a while because this series is finished, and I miss my pack.

Read if: You love blood and found families, you love an adventure/fantasy/mystery with a lot of heart, you want to laugh and cry at the same time, you just really love gay werewolves
