4⭐️ This was good, but sooo dark. I’m a binge reader and had to intentionally step away from the book to take a breather, while at the same time, couldn’t wait to find out what was next? Check trigger warnings— intense descriptions of rape, sexual assault and torture.

I had really high hopes for this after having had it on my “must read” list for the last year., but it fell a bit flat for me. Could’ve been 100 pages shorter, only really got going in the middle.
Still enjoyed the read, but just not as much as expected.

Odotin tältä piinaavaa jännitystä, mutta sainkin vaan shokkiarvon varaan nojaavaa väkivallan kuvailua. Kuvailu itsessään ei haitannut, en oo kovin herkkä lukijana, mutta sitä jännitystä jäin kyllä kaipaamaan. Väkivallan alla tässä oli todella tylsä juoni.

Tän ois pitänyt olla 150 sivua lyhyempi. Juonta pitkitettiin ihan liikaa ja kirjailijalla on outo tarve kuvata kaikki pienetkin yksityiskohdat hahmojen tekemisissä. Mulle kirja olisi toiminut paremmin, jos se olisi keskittynyt nimenomaan Julian katoamisen mysteeriin. Tarina kuitenkin levisi kuin jokisen eväät ja jokaisen muuttuvan tekijän ja uuden tason myötä siitä tuli entistä epäuskottavampi.

Oikeesti huudan jos joudun vielä kerran lukemaan toistoa siitä miten kaunis Claire on ja miten lihava Lydia on.

Että joo. Tää oli mun toinen trilleri ikinä eikä kyllä vakuuttanut jatkamaan genren parissa.
