Stephen King is a magician with words and ideas. I think to read the novel in graphic novel format was indeed a good idea because I could never have stretched my imagination to the extent that the illustrators did.

This was very well done as a whole. They took a 1,100 page novel and turned it into 6 graphic novels. Pretty brilliant. I did feel like this volume was rushed and events happened quickly and maybe it was the same pace as the rest. It simply felt rushed.

I appreciate the end and this final volume. It really has done justice to King's magnus opus. The artwork was consistent and helped tell the story.

Good and Evil are once again balanced. People living together will cause problems as always and things will start all over.

A fantastic series to read for graphic novel readers and Stephen King fans.

What a incredible job the creators of these comics did. So true to the novel. A fantastic adaptation. The illustrations and the writing are top notch. And Randall Flagg... dear God, they absolutely nailed him!

Extra points for the throw-away nod to King by changing the objector to Rich Bachmann.

Happy Fan

I'm so thankful to all the people who put their time and hearts into this beautiful creation and kept it so honest to the source. My most favorite book in the world, retold in graphic novel form, and I walk away a (very tired) fan. My heart is happy. Thank you.

The adaptation takes an interesting turn on the final battle of good and evil. There is a literal interpretation of good and evil and Perkins relies on classical red devil with horns vs. white and pure. The hand of god that King writes which I believe is intended to be abstract and subtle is made blatant with religious connotation.

A fitting end to a great story. Several characters come to a full circle and so does Randal Flagg. For him, it ends exactly where it started for him and he knows how its going to end for the people who found him.

An excellent adaptation by Sacasa, brilliant art by Perkins and several covers (like the one with Nadine, Nick and Tom..) were exceptional.
