Sort of bland. Nothing special. Glad I continued on to #2 and #3. Big improvement. Overall good series.

Left with no way other to help with her father’s medical bills Aimee decides to take up her friends offer to meet with the owners of an escort company. While at the party Aimee meets an irresistible man, although after their encounter he quickly leaves not telling her his name only that he will find her again.
Years later when Aimee thinks she may be finally getting her dream, a client, Caleb, that she has been seeing starts to threaten her unless she marries him. While seeing Aimee’s reaction to Caleb he offers her a solution, for him to protect her by marrying him, although offers a relationship with no physical contact. Aimee knows Nik makes her feels safe and can’t work out why.
Nik has a past and he won’t let anyone in, that past also involves Caleb and Nik knows what he is capable of. Caleb will do anything to get to Aimee again and continues to try. Your kept intrigued wondering if Aimee will go into a loveless marriage with Nik, or whether Nik will work though he’s past to have the happily ever after with Aimee that his family think he deserves. Aimee fights with her emotions and feelings for Nik and doesn’t want to compete with a ghost. Amazing story can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
