I adored Boyfriend Material and was really rooting for this book, but I don't hate seeing where Happily Ever Afters go, however, this entire book felt like a really sad attempt to recreate all of the joy and heart in book 1. It dragged on too long, it was from Luc's POV but didn't actually show Luc going through any changes. I think this could have been much more successful from Oliver's POV because we could have seen his conflict and growth.

I laughed, I cried and I got very, very nervous about Luc and Oliver.

This was an absolutely lovely follow up to boyfriend material.

They are both giant disasters who trust and love and lean on one another.

Absolutely loved the humor in this book, it was so good.  Having said that the overall book was kinda meh.  I liked some parts better than others.  It was slow to start and I actually forgot I was reading this book about 30% through.  There were a lot of weddings which are kinda boring to read in my opinion, but the ending was the kicker.  Like I went through all of that only for it to end the way it did??  I loved reading more of Oliver and Luc but seriously all that build up and dragging out an ending only to leave it there was disappointing.

I liked it, but not as much as the first one. It felt kind of repetitive and the ending was unsatisfying. Still, it did feel kind of comforting and I did like seeing queer couples represented in otherwise heteronormative storylines.

It was good and I was really enjoying the relationship. I do love reading every scene with Oliver and Luc but sadly the ending really frustrated me. I understand it may be nuanced or a representative of modern relationships but for me an ending as sudden as it was, really frustrated me. If there had been a few more chapters to develop this relationship a bit more I’d have been happier. I will still read the next book as I love Alexis Halls writing and the characters.
