Around 4 years later and my first assessment was right: my grasp of the language is way better and thus I absolutely loved it.

The romance was amazing and so was the concept and everything else. My cold heart has been touched by sapphic sadness and weird sci-fi.
Only complaints are that I want more and I would've liked if I understood just one thing. Maybe that's also the language barrier making itself known.

Finally got around to writing a review for this. This Is How You Lose the Time War is one of the greatest books I have ever read. The prose is absolutely beautiful in every way. The story is engaging and the ending is really satisfying. The writing style is very unique and abstract in a way that suited the narrative so perfectly. I hope these authors will collaborate again in the future, because they really created a masterpiece here. I look forward to re-reading this book time and time again.
