This is a beautifully written book, with lovely poetic choices that I really appreciate. The crow, the Swarm, it was amazing. However, I struggled to stay connected to what was happening in the story. The element of the main character's disconnection from the passage of time is exciting but also takes the reader further into her mind and further away from sequential events. For everything I appreciate about the book, I also have unanswered questions. It leaves me feeling unfulfilled - And then again maybe that's the point :)

Not for me.

I have so many questions, but this book made me realize that we don’t always need the answers. Writing this review just after finishing, I think I need Moore time to formulate my thoughts.

I recommend reading this in one sitting, or at least not leave too much time between sittings.

Is hunger, is rage, the attachment to one’s own form? Is grief surrender?

oh this was beautiful. it does take forever for me to grasp it but then it was indeed over. what a beautiful and strange (positive) way to write about grief. amazing. read in one sitting.

I wanted to grieve while I still had the solace of you.

this quote.. OHH…!!!
