Enjoyable as all get-out! The SecUnit is a great POV character, and Martha Wells quickly establishes the rules of this futuristic, corporate-led world of space exploration. There's humor in this novella, like when the team figures out that the security unit programmed to protect them thinks of itself as 'Murderbot' and that it has hacked its own programming (gasp!). The action is thrilling, and I'm glad to hear there will be more in this series.

Soooooo fun!! Murderbot is so full of heart and humor, while being a deeply vulnerable and private person. Getting to see it
(be forced to)
open up a bit for the first time made me want to roll around on the floor. I also deeply deeply want to be able to look at people from a security camera instead of making eye contact.

This was such a fun time. Murderbot is genuinely funny. Even though this is a novella, and less than 150 pages, the story felt complete and I thought the characters still had complexity to them. I think this would be a great book option to get someone out of a reading slump.
