This is genuinely a nice little read. I really appreciated the intergenerational friendships and strengthening of familial bonds. I know this is supposed to be geared more as romance, and there is romance, but ultimately the romance was secondary for me because I loved seeing the friendships more.

My heart 💔❤️‍🩹🥺🥹 Both the Cotton women were fine in their own respective stories but when you put Eileen, Marian and Leena together- I had tears flowing from my eyes. I will admit, I loved Eileen’s storyline more but overall the humor was sprinkled throughout in the best way. This is a story that encompasses more than just a simple switch. It’s about a family doing their best to mend themselves after a tragedy & the strength it takes to admit you need help & allow yourself to grieve.

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I fell in love with, rooted for and will absolutely miss Elaine Cotton. The 79 year old adventurer reminded me of my Grandma and this delightful book was funny, hopeful, a bit sad at times but more than anything, compellingly bingeable.

The audio narration was beautifully done and added a lot to my enjoyment of this book. Unexpectedly a favorite of non-fantasy books I've read this year so far.

I had high hopes after loving The Flatshare last year, but unfortunately this one did not live up to my expectations.

Truth be told it was just really boring! Not a great deal happens, it was super predictable and the characters were pretty unlikeable or just one dimensional stereotypes. My favourite part was the
Leena-Jackson
romance so I truly think O’Leary should stick to pure romance as that does seem to be what she’s best at.

A lovely, really well-paced romance that pulls off a convincing enemies to lovers trope without toxicity, includes love at all ages, and has a lovable and rich cast of characters.  It also depicts a broken family following tragedy, including how several family members struggle to heal from it. In the end, it’s a heartwarming read.
