I love miss Mariana she just knows exactly how to write a sow burn and how to make you fall in love with characters. The found family that she created was so so sweet and I absolutely adored this book

I’m such a sucker for grumpy x sunshine with a found family trope.

I don’t know how she does it but Miss Zapata scores again with a high rating for me. The slow burn was magnificent too. It will never be as good as Luna and the Lie, Hands Down, or The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, however this is up there.

Let me begin by telling you I’m not huge on small town romance but I’m glad there’s finally a cozy novel where the community is just as wholesome as it is close-knit that I can recommend people. This isn’t outstanding but it is one of the better ones I’ve read out there.

Please pick up this book when you have the chance. While it won’t change your life even if you haven’t read it, I guarantee you a good time when you do so.
