This is my rating for this issue, not my projection of what the series will turn out to be like. This is especially important with this issue. I tend to find that I don't like issue #1 of almost any series. I find that there is usually so much set-up of characters and settings that there often isn't enough room for plot to advance. And I felt that acutely with this #1.

The first three-quarters of the issue, I had a difficult time finding a reason to care about anything that was happening. And then, the last few pages gave me a story I cared about, and I went from regretting that I had already ordered #2 to excited that it is currently on its way to me. So, while I can't rate this issue very high, I am optimistic for what is to follow

Good, nice world building and intriguing set up. Not sure I’ll continue though.
