3.5 stars! had a fun time reading this as it was very easy to follow and i enjoyed the twists and suspense. but i def echo some people’s criticisms about charlie randomly ending up with her kidnapper and the campus killer plot twist coming seemingly out of nowhere. that said, this reminded me of “five survive” which was my favorite book so it was fun all around! will definitely have to pick up another riley sager book.

this book was mostly a fun and entertaining read. I felt the middle plateau’d a bit in plot and character development, but overall enjoyed the read. Felt some parts were too straight forward “some strangers will hurt you” “men hurt women” etc. Wasn’t always a fan of Charlie’s movies and felt they were an unsatisfying form of horror/thriller. Predicted the ending pretty early too.

engaging in his typical style but I would argue his worst book, Charlie was the stupidest book character maybe ever and the unreliable narrator trope is getting old.

saw this at Goodwill. I was debating whether or not to buy it. My mom was still browsing/shopping, so i decided to start the book. In just 8 pages i was HOOKED. I decided to buy the book and I am glad i did, because I remained  hooked to the book until the very end! I was fighting sleep while trying to finish the book on the 15th, but fell asleep with 5 pages to go! I was so upset, but i finished it the next day.
