This was one of those books that’s entertaining while you’re reading it, but overall it was predictable and forgettable. It’s worth reading but overall just “meh.”

Really captivating, you really root for Addie. The way everything is described makes you wanna be there too, hoping the island loves you.

I will go with 3 stars, I felt bad cause it just wasn't the kind of story I liked and to add I hated the characters! but I found the depiction of the island and the scenes brilliant and marveled at the author's skill in making us able to recreate these images in our heads while reading. I loved these parts!
I kept reading the book throughout the year because I wanted to know what happened.
Again the rating is just that The book didn't match with me.

I was excited to go into this story but for me it didn't live up to my expectations. It was confusing a little bit too at some points for me.

Goodness what a right way to hit my challenge win. This was creepy in the best way. It is balances the morbid nature with the coming-of-age story in it.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.
