I read this book in one sitting and cried more times than I'm willing to admit. I love the premise of understanding regrets to appreciate a life and the beautiful Christmas Carole-esque take.

While I started this book because I was intrigued by its unique premise, I finished it overjoyed by its straightforward and effective approach to telling a story about attempted suicide. There are so many messages in this book that are essential for understanding the mindset behind suicidal impulses and how to recover from them. Too many messages to transcribe here, with all of them echoing truths I've found in my own life as a survivor of attempted suicide. I highly recommend that others read this book and to keep their mind open to how it describes the importance of tweaking your perspective in order to vastly alter your world.

The main character is suicidal, and most of the book can be hard to read, wrestling through her thoughts. But overall, it's an interesting and hopeful story, and the midnight library itself is a neat concept.

I was a bit unsure, since the reviews are are do mixed, but this books is really good: it made me want to be alive too. In fact, I messaged someone immediatly after finishing it because I didn’t want to add it to my Book of Regrets.

Short and sweet, don’t read it thinking it’s the next literary masterpiece, just read it to enjoy it and you will.

I don't think I'm the target audience for this book. I don't generally have regrets and I prefer to live my life instead of pondering over what it could have been. But I still really enjoyed it. It was so hard for me to stop reading and I really wanted to learn what was happening to the main character and what choices she was going to make. Diving into the possible lives she could have lived was really interesting. I somewhat disliked the "I don't know who I am in this life" setting and I felt like she had too many great life opportunities for a regular working class woman, but the story itself was captivating and I really really enjoyed the pacing of the book and the length of the chapters. It was hard not wanting to read just a little bit more when the chapters were only few pages long!

Part of me wanted not to love it because it's so hyped and another part tells me that the story isn't good enough to be a five star read but here we go. I loved the reading experience.
