This was a lovely, nostalgic read and definitely very good for kids. I had a really nice time reading it. The writing was quite lovely in places and it is obviously a well-loved story. I do think my enjoyment was slightly hindered by my knowledge of the film, as I had certain expectations that weren't quite met. But overall I had a lovely time reading this and I'm looking forward to reading more of the series.

It was nice to revisit this book from my youth and remember the wonder I had at its first reading. The adventures of the children are still intriguing, and the lessons learned remain relevant.

This was a reread for me and it didn’t disappoint! Listened on audio. Good, but not as good as Focus in the Family radio theater version. Alas, that version is not available through Hoopla or Overdrive.

The book is aimed more at the young audience, it didn't bother me too much. How C.S Lewis describes this world is an interesting experience . This book also offers timeless wisdom.

Well... it has very few details. It's well written, but some scenes didn't meet my expectations. And all the scenes where the boys fight the battle and the girls didn't (Aslan's orders). It was very stereotyped. Yes, I know it was written in the 50', but still... by this time women had already find their voices.

I love the story of how Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund came to find Narnia!
This is the only book in the series I’ve read before and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of them!
