Was a little disappointed in this one. I'd never read a historical zombie book so I was expecting a lot and this fell flat for me. The characters were all lacking something and the plot didn't get exciting until the last two or three chapters. I also felt shaken out of the story with every chapter title, as they came off as comedic and childish while the rest of the book had a darker tone.

I will say the casual ace and bi rep was nice to see though!

To say I'm obsessed with our main character is an understatement! I would follow her anywhere. She was funny and bad ass, but also had a good heart. I also loved this 'alternative' version of history. The world and time was so well-developed and realized. I can't wait to read the sequel!
