I really really didn't like it
Spoilers ahead
There was no romance for me ,Gus was highly unlikeable ,his reasons for being an asshole were misplaced lol and im not judging his issues but the man needs therapy . And the last 2 chapters with his ex wife ?? Big yuck his ending speech about definitely seeing himself with his ex wife again just not married and that he wants it with January instead what was that?? Why is everyone swooning over that ? Or did i just not get it right because to me the man just seemed like he would definitely chose his ex wife if they weren't married and it was just a relationship, like the woman cheated on him and left him for his friend and he still had to think it over when she wanted himback, and had the audacity to say he can see himself with her infront of his current girlfriend and it's supposed to be romantic?
Unlikeable mmc , none existant romance till the last chapters and overall unenjoyable which is funny because i loved book lovers

After reading the authors remarks I understood it - I saw past the love story. It’s truly a book about writers block, and everything that I feel. Something along the lines of “I wanted to write 1500, but I wrote 400 and played solitaire.”
It’s funny because that’s my life.
January was a character you want to shake and tell she’s worth it. Luckily Gus is there.
