Story 4/5
Performance 5/5

After reading a handful of Agatha Christie novels, it should be given that I would already be familiar with how her stories go. However, after this latest attempt, still no luck trying to figure out who the killer is. It is now becoming frustrating to me, as an avid fan of her works.
The day when I get to guess correctly and explain logically who the killer is on my next Christie novels, I'll surely have a grand of a time. For now though, as frustrated as I am getting, I have to admit that she still doesn't fail to keep me on my toes.

I understand that her writings is set in a different time. This was way back, so there are minor details that I find insensible But I think that whenever this happens, it mostly concerns feelings or relationships between the characters in the story.

Spoiler As for this title, it was odd to read how Starkwedder and Laura had this immediate connection. Though I guess this is more of an infatuation of S towards L. It definitely adds something to the story, though it's just weird to read about it. I actually began forming theories towards the end that there was definitely something going on between them, or that there's history. It adds spice to the plot but it also made it confusing for me. The idea didn't help contribute forming a reasonable explanation of the ending.

But! I still found this book entertaining.

P.S. Lately when I read A.C. novels, it's hard to ignore the fact that there are audiobooks for them as well. Reading and listening to it at the same time is a whole different experience! Off to the next one!

Agatha has got to explain herself to me. It still hasn't sunk in yet.
