It is amazing to see the power of the mind and what caused the original deal to come about. I was drawn right back into the story and it shows a completely different side to demon life! I loved this episode and it is nice seeing Don and Guilda gaining their own strengths!

I just adore these kids, even with Norman being a little different than he’s always been. But he and Ray still care so deeply for Emma.

I LOVE the new character we meet in this. Her character adds another layer to the discussion of how demons and humans are similar in the sense that they can be good, bad, and morally grey.
This volume also starts to answer some questions I’ve had since starting this series and it has been fun and interesting to see how my own theories hold up.

As it begins to take its final steps to its grand conclusion, the excitement begins to boil within me. Each revelation feels like a set of fireworks that leave me in a state of awe. I am saddened by the prospect of its finality, but it is a feeling that is also paired with a heavy sense of excitement. Nearly there!
In Volume 16 on The Promised Neverland Emma and Ray journey through a crazy and mind bending puzzle/maze they entered into after going through the seven walls. Norman asks Don and Gilda to find Mujika and Sonju so they can protect them. He sends Hayato and Ayshe, a girl who has three dogs and only speaks demon. We also learn exactly how the Promise from 1,000 years ago came to be.
This volume had so much going on, I had to start making small notes to myself after each chapter so I could remember what all happened!
We met Ayshe and I immediately fell in love with her since she has three dogs and is so good with them. Then we found out her backstory and I almost cried! She’s making me have some really conflicting thoughts about certain things in this story.
I’m really curious about the other end of the Promise... the part that Emma has to give in order for the Promise to be fulfilled.
Also, I don’t talk about the illustration a lot but holy moly they are intense! I’m really bad at sometimes just reading what’s being said and only glancing at the photos... you can’t do that!! Take the time to look at each panel. REALLY LOOK AT IT!! Posuka Demizu is brilliant!
