A good, fun read, though not as strong as the first omnibus. This is an interesting take on the dark period of the SW universe, and the series does a good job presenting a wide range of reactions and responses of Jedi.

One thing I really like about this series is an interesting contribution and use of different SW races. Both writers and artists were not afraid to go beyond the humans, making for a much deeper story.

Perhaps my biggest complaint with the series as a whole is its stale and, really rather offensive portrayal of its female characters. I would have thought (and at the beginning, did think) that such a deep, dark SW series would be able to get away from making sure every female character brandishes her gigantic, spherical boobs at one point or another. And Ember's 'bad girl with the golden heart' trope would be comical if it wasn't so offensive.

Regardless, overall a strong series with a good selection of stories that break some new-ish ground in the SW universe.
