What a fun, light hearted book. It was a quick read that made me want to dive into more fitness classes in my spare time.

I listened to this as an audiobook as was recommended in a group as a satire of all the diets and fitness information out there. I struggled with a lot of the humor and wonder if it would’ve been funnier if I read it, instead of listening. There was a nice conclusion about how harmful a lot of diets and things are but overall I didn’t feel like I could relate or even have fun with this. It was too much for me.

This book was crazy, ridiculous. It took all the latest diet crazes and put it into a novel about the ridiculous things we do to lose weight. It’s set in New York City. I kind of wanted a West Coast version of this book, but then I thought NYC was absolute prime territory for the latest celebrity diet fad. Goop, anyone?! It reminded me a bit of author Jennifer Werner. I wasn’t sure about it, but by the end I loved it and went, WTH just happened?!

I read this book for the category “set in a gym or heath studio” for the Tacoma Library’s Extreme Reader Challenge.

Funny, easy read. Anyone involved in fitness who doesn’t feel like they fit the mold must read this

2.5 Entertaining, but the ending was super rushed. All this build up to basically nothing...
