Not a bad Goosebumps book but not a very good one either. The setting all takes place in the ocean near a coral reef, and while the buildup and climax work, I didn't think the latter half of the book held up. Still a fun read, and quick as they always are.

RL Stine escribía sus novelas pensando "A ver cuántos giros de guión LOQUÍSIMOS me caben".

Does not feel like a Goosebumps but that's okay. It was a solid story about respecting bodily autonomy and the ocean. Unfortunately lacking in any scares or anything spooky, but a lot better than some others in the series.

Oh my. This was so much fun. I am a fan of nautical/sea stories, and so I was definitely primo target audience (not age wise, just interest wise!) for this one. Great pacing, nice change of directions, and water adventures galore. Definitely one of my faves of the Goosebumps that I've read so far and likely would make my Top 5.

"Terrore negli abissi", sempre in perfetto stile "piccoli brividi", costruisce la semplice storia utilizzando la comune paura del mare aperto.
Evitabile l'inserimento della sirena, elemento che cozza un po' con l'atmosfera del racconto.
Nel complesso è godibile e simpatico.

It’s more like a 3.5

I’m ashamed I missed this in my read through. Not sure how that happened…

It’s fun but it’s more of an action adventure with a speckle of fantasy thrown in. Just not what I’m looking for in my Bumps.

false advertising.. this was about mermaids, not sharks. as far as goosebumps books go, this one was pretty solid. not very scary but a fun little ocean adventure! really enjoyed the classic goosebumps twist ending
