I feel personally betrayed by JLB. I hated this book and loved it at the same time. very well written, lots of plot twists. and I’m so angry. how could she betray me and my buddies like that. I’m angry Henry was a bad guy and that she fell for him. I’m angry that we don’t get to see how that plays out, specifically how she’s going to act since they have mutual best friends. I hope she eventually gets with Asher, he’s a hoot. also too immature for her but probably needed. I just want to know what she’s going to do about it all. How is she going to spend so much time with Henry and never speak to him. SO MANY QUESTIONS. and truthfully I didn’t hate William Keyes as much as I expected to. he has growth .
but I feel like it’s not concluded. idk if she ever will write another of this series, but she easily could continue it.
it truthfully probably deserves a higher rating but I’m so angry right now I can’t. (okay I raised it .25)

I absolutely loved this series. I will say that this one didn't work quite as well for me as did The Fixer. That may in part be due to the fact that Fixer was such a lovely breath of fresh air for me, whereas I went into this book with pretty high expectations. Nonetheless, the extreme nature of the plot got to be a little much at times to the point where I was rolling my eyes. I think that may just be part of the genre, and, to the book's credit, much like in my beloved Jane the Virgin, even though the characters might be put in truly absurd situations, their reactions to those situations felt (largely) genuine. There were some real twists that were juicy and interesting, particularly with how they impacted the character's relationships. I LOVED the family development in this one (I'm so obsessed with her grandfather). I'm absolutely gutted that this series won't continue.

Moderate: Sexual assault and Sexual harassment

This book was soo much better than the first one, I liked all the characters here, and loved how the relationship panned out. If there' s one thing bad about this book it's the fact that there isn't a third book.
Graphic: Violence and Blood
Moderate: Mass/school shootings
