Loved it. The plot takes a while to build but wasn’t boring or slow at all. I’m giving four stars because I was able to predict the suspense but it didn’t bore me at all. I was expecting a lot of scare but it didn’t live up to the expectation. It was creepy and shocking, can’t wait to read the sequel !!

This was good. I am not a big horror fan but this kept the terror to a level I could tolerate while still driving the sense of dread with almost every page. Definitely a classic. Well done!

I appreciated the bodily autonomy and loss of control horror aspects even more after discussing this with the book club, as several women weighed in on the pregnancy aspect.
