Enjoyed, went a bit off the rails, but in a fun way

I don’t think I’ve ever been so confused while fully enjoying what I’m reading in my life. Like the whole end section, couldn’t really tell you what was going on, but she’s alone in nature on an island and I kinda like that (please take me away from all the people as well).

I read this as part of my postcolonial literature module at uni, and while I can see that this is an important theme of the novel, the ecofeminist aspect is definitely what stands out to me more (and I find it more interesting in the case of this particular book). Either way, I really enjoyed the first two parts of this story, it was just the third one which threw me off a bit at first and left me a bit curious as to what would happen after the ending, but overall I did like the story.

Maybe écriture féminine is as much of a solution to gender issues as to the environmental crisis — patriarchy and anthropocentrism share too many similarities
