The more I reread and re-experience this book the more I fall in love with it. It’s sparkling and heartwarming with a romance I still giggle over despite the fact I basically have the banter memorised, but it also covers more serious issues. It’s a book that talks about feeling lost, at a loose end, about the cracks that can be found even in the most dream-like of places.
This book is my ultimate comfort read, the place I go to when I need to believe that life can be still be magical despite its difficulties. I adore it.

A 4 because this was a surprising, uncomplicated breath of fresh air. Lou, Robert and Caitlin were all great characters and kept me glued to the book from start to finish. The romance was uncomplicated, and the story was a a sweet, simple coming-of-age with just enough drama to keep you hooked, but still keeps that warm, summery aura. This is the perfect, seaside summer easy read.

I thought it was a bit long, but I really loved the characters, all well-developed. Of course, the ambiance is great too, and the story was nice. A good reading!
