Enjoyable with all new characters

Other than a brief cameo by Michael, this series has all new characters. There was a small but that led me to hope we'd have our first same sex relationship, but that didn't happen. Perhaps I read that bit wrong (didn't negatively affect my review). Valerie is very newly discovering who she is as an Honorable Vampire. So not having a romantic interest (hopefully yet!) was understandable. I do look forward to reading more in this series and wonder if we'll meet what seem like more mythological legends to the "modern" UnknownWorld.

Love it

Wonderful start to a series in the Kurtherian world. I can't wait to see what happens in their lives and how they solve the problems to come. And it's sad to say I think they're right, what the world forgets just becomes mythology. The world easily forgets.

Fun off-shoot, from the main series. Interesting to read what's going on in the world after WWD. Interesting characters, and story line.

Good enough start to a Kurtherian spin off. There were several places in which I rolled my eyes about how quickly the relationships went from meeting to absolute loyalty and trust, but ok.

I enjoyed Michael's appearance, brief though it was.

The narration is quite good, if a bit slower than Emily Beresford, who narrates the main series. I just tweaked it a bit more in my player to speed up a bit. But so far I had no trouble discerning the various characters and they were all as believable as the writing would allow.

I like this world, and it's nice to see it from another perspective outside the usual cast of characters. I'll give this series more of a chance to become four stars to me.
