I enjoy her writing and the way she tells a story!

I liked it. It's about snotty, beautiful Janey Wilcox who basically is with men for their money. If you like the OC Housewives you'll like this book.

This book had all the goodies that I was craving after my extended break from reading chick-lit - name dropping, fashion, and petty problems. But underneath all of this it also had a tragic undertone and character development that really makes you feel something. It made me ponder how lonely it can be at the top, and how it must feel to give all of yourself away to get things that you don't even know if you want (having sex with strange, rich, gross men for popularity, money or fame). One of Candace Bushnell's better books. I enjoyed this one and 'One Fifth Avenue'. 'Sex and the City', 'Four Blondes' and 'Killing Monica' were kind of flops for me.

An entertaining albeit very superficial book. A good beach read.

I started reading this book months ago and I keep forgetting about it, then I have to start all over again. I have absolutely no motivation to keep reading this book, it's far too long and way too boring. Sorry!

I almost quit reading this book and that is alot for me. To much the same as her other books but with no redeming characters. Also felt there was no purpose.

A summer read. The main character, Janey Wilcox is very self absorbed and destructively ambitious. It captures the feel of NYC and the social scene of constant competition over money and power. But leaves the reader thinking a little less of NYC than is true since other avenues and lifestyles aren't followed in the book. I would cringe a lot when Janey made selfish reckless choices.

Probably one of the worst books I've ever read. The main character was so shallow I would categorize her as loathsome. There was nothing captivating about this book since it was as superficial as it gets.
