this was okay. i am big fan of thrillers, and not very keen on the domestic thriller subgenre, so all in all i think i enjoyed this as much i'd ever be able to. i guessed the twists about 40% in (even going as far as being reeeeally out there with my guesses, and ultimately feeling let down that the author decided to keep things a bit more tame) and wasn't interested in the daily comings and goings of the main character as a mother and a housewife. i was expecting something a bit more along the lines of [b: Stillhouse Lake|33128934|Stillhouse Lake (Stillhouse Lake, #1)|Rachel Caine|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1495714483l/33128934._SY75_.jpg|53802245], another thriller following a serial killer's wife, but it failed to deliver in both shock factor and the pacing of the story. still a decent book, though!

i started and finished this book in one day…simply could not put it down!

Some parts of the book gripped me and some parts didn’t. I did find the storyline quite predictable, which was the reason I gave it 3 stars. I would read more by this author
