The women in this book...you keep wanting them to make rational choices, but they never do.
The men in this book...never bother to get to know the women they’re passionately declaring their love for.

It was a bit predictable, but otherwise was excellent.

Three women, three generations, three authors - genius! To dive right in, I want to say that I loved having three of my favorite authors come together and put a book together, but I was nervous as to how they were going to do it and it feel like a one seamless book. But this one worked! To have each author write one of the generations of this twisted family story, was just perfect!
I loved all three women characters, but for some reason Kate the doctor's story really stood out for me. I don't know if it is because it was the most contemporary or because I felt like she was finding out the truths of both women that came before her, but her story seemed to encompass the other two and it was the one I kept really enjoying through the book. But to clarify, Olive and Lucy were just as entertaining and I never didn't enjoy theirs - Olive was the foundation of the story while Lucy was the middle trying to not live by her mother's story but create her own.

This book was entertaining, but also a little too fluffy for me in terms of the romance across generations between the same two families and how they were pulled to the house and then each other.
Captivating story! So, so good! I listened to this as an audio-book & loved it. Sweet, sad, satisfying. Thanks to these talented authors for sweeping me away for a time.
I cam upon this book because I've been reading all of Beatriz Williams' work. I like her writing and the setting of her books, the plots sometimes seem rushed to an ending. Therefore, it's funny that a book with three authors had a tighter plot and conclusion than all of her other books. It must be the other two authors' influence.
So good - loved the way the three stories wove together.
3.5 Stars. A little predictable, figured out most of the puzzle early, but enjoyable.
A nice read if you are into this sort of time-crossing romance genre. Felt properly swept into the different time spans and contexts, with characters I rooted for, as they struggled through making realistic decisions that would impact their families and the people around them.
