This book was difficult to get through because I didn't love Delilah's character. She was similar to Josh and I didn't appreciate the comparison of those two characters. The ending was predictable and didn't have a grand resolution. I also didn't connect well with Claire, but I desperately wanted too I just wish she was the main focus in the book and not Delilah because she had more conflicts in her life to deal with.

This is the first book of 2024 and my book club’s January book.

I did not like it. I disliked both of the main characters and the only one I like was Josh and Iris. But still they had problems.

I though I would like it but nah.

THEY DRINK ALL THE TIME! I get that people drink wine but they drink literally everyday. Society is glamorizing alcohol and potential alcoholism!

Also realized that I don’t really like sex scenes in books anymore. So that also put it down for me :/

Romance isn't usually my genre of choice but I particularly enjoyed the easy read of LGBTQ+ relationships. I liked the writing style and pacing. Although it isn't my favourite book I've ever read it was fully enjoyable even for a non-romance book lover .

it’s a sweet and pretty fluffy sapphic romance! i’m not a fan of the miscommunication trope though and this had it in spades with multiple relationships.

i wish we got to explore delilah and astrid’s relationship more and how that grows, but that’s probably what the other books in the series are for. i do really like the banter from the characters though and the chemistry was good! the first half was addicting and the second half dragged a bit.

This was a great little fluffy read. It was so nice to see two women fall in love.

At times the book was a little cringey or cliche and sometimes the characters were a bit immature but I think it’s because they had a lot of unresolved trauma. I really liked Iris and Delilah’s back and forth banter. It was nice to see how these ladies’ relationships developed. The sex scenes were very beautiful and well-written. I did feel like sometimes the author over emphasized their queerness and feminism to the point where the sentence was a little awkward or cringey.

All in all a very cute read. I enjoyed it.

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care was the queer love story I didn’t know I needed.

This book is so good! The queer joy, the family dynamics, the cute relationship vibes, the TRUST! Delilah Green absolutely cares about so many things and so many people, and seeing her flourish was so lovely and heartwarming.

Read this book if you love
💜 Sapphic romance
💜 found family
💜 only one bed
💜 grumpy/sunshine
💜 single parent
💜 strong female friendship

This was my first time reading a single parent romance and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! It’s definitely made me more open to other single parent books in the future.

I will definitely be reading the rest of the Bright Falls books. 4.5 stars
