Amazing artwork and I love the relationship between Alana and Marko. Fast paced read with lots of action and easy to understand world building. I can't wait to read more and I hope to see more of Alana's and Marko's backstory.

I love Saga and this first volume is still really good on the reread, but the use of the r-slur and some cis assumptions prevent me from giving this a 5. I adore Fiona Staples' art but some of Brian K Vaughn's dialog is cringe here.

This was actually quite good! I did not expect some of the art, it was mildly disturbing but still really amazing. Can't wait to check out the next books.

Weirdly bizarre yet strangely beautiful sci fi graphic novel.

The art style is phenomenal, with colour and movement that draws you (lol) in and really engages you within the text. The use of changing scale and perspective helps convey the story brilliantly, aiding with the words on the pages.

The story itself is rather basic but the world building and characteristics showcased throughout help build it into something bigger than it is. Through rather limited text you feel for this characters and get a sense of who’s who in the larger political scale and where about they lie in terms of their beliefs.

A brilliant introduction to the series and I’m sure I’ll be reading more!
