For a story with such unique fantasy creatures, there is such a humanity about this story. It was really beautiful.

I picked this up because I had been wanting to read it for a while and had been debating on getting the large bind-up. But I had never read any of it before only heard amazing things, it was but I didn't know about dropping 50$ on something I wasn't sure i was going to like.

I did like this, a lot. The art is amazing, some of the character design is freaking weird though, but I like it.
I feel confident in getting those bind-ups now.

📚Favorite sayin:
" When a man carries an instrument of violence, he'll always find the justification to use it."

"Everyone had a father, even if he never provided anything more than his seed."
" ...The hardest part of parenting is knowing when to ask for help."

"Even the most independent of new parents will need backup weathering the occasional shitstorm."

📚Comic Synopsis
SAGA is the sweeping tale of young family fighting to find their place in the universe. When two solidwrs from opposite sides of a never- ending galactiv war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old world.

📚My review
I devoured this comic. The comic is narrator by the daughter of Marko & Alana ( new parents) on the run.  From a Prince Robot the IV whose head is a legit a TV😂.
We see Alana & Marko dash through the cleave in pursit of a rocketship forest to escape prosecution. And on their quick adventure they meet all kinds of weirdos/ assassins.
I loved the whole birthing scene, breastfeeding, and momma popping off guns blazing🔥--- she was about her business.
I liked the ghostly kids-- Iszabel was funny!
The drawings were amazing!
Definitely some rauchy scene!
Overall, enjoyed this comic. Looking forward to Volume !
