The worst of dresden imo, including the other stories. The non exposure of the magical world from battle ground was disappointing and character work was pretty bad in this one. Maybe it just seems worse because I’m so used to James as the narrator but didn’t enjoy this one.

Nice short story, recollecting a lot of recent memories from the last book, so it would be an ideal story to read before diving into the next one.

Back to his roots as a detective. It is interesting seeing Harry try to solve this for his client.

Not as interesting as a full length novel, but better than waiting years for the next one.

It was nice enough, but not my favorite. I was a little relieved that it didn't become a courtroom drama. Bonus points for reference to the Finnish hero Vainamoinen.

Good as always, a quick afternoon read

A good intro to Dresden's world. Been a while but it all came back. Such good writing, the characters are strong and the world is wonderful!

Hearing Jim Butcher narrate this series is very different from what I am used to but it was very well done.
Was great seeing Harry again and seeing him in situations where his normal responses just arent the right way to go.

So happy to be reading Dresden files again. This story picks up just weeks after the great battle in Battleground and it's wonderful to see Harry taking on clients and going back to his PI roots. We get introduced to another great character in Max, I feel like we'll see him again. Love these books!
