A very nostalgic read since I grew up during the peak era of Disney channel

This book acts like a fairly extensive historical overview of the Disney Channel from the late 90s to late 2000s. Separating chapters by Disney Channel stars and their TV shows/films created this fun game for me of "who will be next."
I do wish that this book had a bit more narrative to its history. I understand why this book ends where it did, but it feels sort of abrupt. Sort of like the author stopped the book at the point where she stopped watching Disney Channel and less because a specific era of Disney Channel had ended.

A absolutely must read for all of us that grew up with Disney Channel or anyone else interested in a huge cultural phenomenon that affected a whole generation.
Disney was a huge part of my childhood/teens years, my first ever CD was the Hannah Montana soundtrack, bought on a trip to the US!
This book is phenomenal, it's super well organized by chapters and full of interesting behind the scenes facts, interviews and stories. I'd never seen Even Stevens nor The Mickey Mouse Club, but you can see the base they set for the channel and from Lizzie McGuire on, I was absolutely hooked.
Although it is sad to see how some of our childhood stars suffered, how the adults around failed them and the harsh realities they endured specially the girls. We got to see, how often the industry was really just being a inconsiderate machine (like firing someone over the phone, while their wife is in labor, slightly modifying the show title and set to cap everyone's salaries).
It's necessary to point out the ugly sides so change can happen.
