This one just didn't resonate with me, I don't think I'll explore this off shoot any more.

Another fun take on 'HP' that's scary and violent. Glad to see this got brought back from the Sandman Y.

Despite the cover I was naively hoping one of the much more interesting characters from the first comic would be the main character of the book. Alas, there’s another magical book with a protagonist who is a skinny, bespectacled, British white boy with messy black hair and a sad home life.

I think it could have been an interesting world but felt boring. Also don’t vibe with a heavy reliance on religious stories.

It has a big potential due to the nostalgia factor (I just loved the original series), but it's a hit and miss. The characters are empty, the reader can't really relate/connect to them, and what made Tim Tim is just gone. I am inclined to give this series more chance, but honestly, I don't have high hopes. Also why did they need to get rid of Molly?

Clearly my nostalgia for the original Sandman series isn’t going to pull me through this spinoff. It’s just... not good. It’s like if Harry Potter was really gory and less logical? And the art is unappealing. I tried.

Dark, magical and full of mystery.

This beautifully illustrated story drew me in and kept me on my toes from start to finish. Dark fantasy mixed with murder and mystery. It was so good, I can't wait to read more!

I enjoyed this well enough but it shouldn't have been 6 whole issues. I'm going to see what the 2nd trade is like and decide fully from there on whether or not I continue on. A solid three stars. It was fun but it didn't blow my mind.
