Really enjoyable

These books are a slightly different tone than the main Bethany Anne stories, but that doesn't really detract from them for me. A lot of stuff is going on, and some of it feels slow in places, which is weird, because there's A LOT of action, but, that's just the way life is sometimes, odd bouts of melancholy and reminiscing, interspersed with mad moments of action (although, not usually this type of action) but, yeah, I like them, a lot.

Not a loved series but a good one

It feels like Valerie is still finding herself. I do miss not having a strong romantic partnership like the other KG series. Now in the author notes Justin says that if we love Michael's work but hate his there's still plenty to read (or something to that effect). Now this is still a fun series. Valerie reminds me a lot of Tabitha. I'd read it for timeline continuity even if I hated it lol.

I have to say, I'm starting to like Valerie as much as I like Bethany-Anne. Both badass vamps. Characters you can love, and some you can hate. Justice is calling, and Valerie will be the judge, jury and executioner
