i absolutely loved this. the character development, the banters between freddie and jasper, the drama of it all! it is a bit too long in my opinion but i guess it serves the purpose. i love when gays what they want and what they deserve. yes, nothing but love! <33

I've read everything by Mr. Green, and I am definitely a fan, but I have to say that in this story I missed the levels of sheer ridiculousness reached by the likes of, say, Noah in past books. This is a more straightforward story, and a more typical YA story, than previous stories.
Freddie is a likable boy with a rather neglectful TV producer mother. He's got the idea he needs to remake himself into someone who could get a boyfriend and decides to say YES to everything in an attempt to change his life. He does say YES a lot, and has a lot of YA learning experiences on the way to becoming somewhat comfortable in his own skin.
If you like this one, and appreciate ridiculousness, the Noah books and the Alex book by this author are also delightful.

Simon James Green has done it again. This story was simply lovely, and has once again shown in great details how many teenagers may feel during their path to adulthood, especially queer teenagers, who may feel even more lost and feel like they don't have it as easy as the others. This shows exactly how young people can be at this age where you are not a child anymore, but adulthood is still a couple of years away, and you are just trying to define who you are and who you want to be.
I loved Freddie so much, his whole character really spoke to me and I feel great knowing he realized how he doesn't need to try so hard or change his whole personality to be amazing, he already is a great person. I'm glad he has his friends, who are both really, really amazing too, and he has every other person who believes in him and his potential. Reading this story, his story, was a great experience and I cannot recommend this book, or even every other Simon James Green's books enough. Well done !
