I really liked the beginning, the middle and end didn’t really hook me

I was so sucked into this story, I dreamed about the mmc😭 i got some words to say about this book so settle in. So we meet Tyler, who is a single, asshole of a dad who is running for Senate. Then we have our lovely girl Easton, who is a history teacher at the private school in which Tyler’s son attends AND teaches his son. So we are getting a little forbidden situation. Now, I could not STAND how big of a jerk Tyler was pretty much the whole entire book. Usually that’s like a cute quirky thing to have, the broody and grumpy MMC. No. this man was just a straight up self centered ass that only cares about himself! I mean he’s a politician- so are we really surprised?? Hahaha absolutely not. So up until about the last 50 pages does this man change and I don’t know how to feel about that!! with that all being said, Penelope Douglas does not ever disappoint, and I’m obsessed with anything she writes!!!! 10/10!!

Overall this is a pretty good book. The spice is very nice! There reason for the 4 stars is that I wasn’t as connected to the characters as I have been in other books…I love when I feel all the things and in this I felt like I was not quite there. Definitely enjoyed the book though!

It was predictable, but decent. The little mystery aspect of "who is messing up her house" was a nice addition.
