Easton and Tyler are probably two of my favorite Penelope Douglas characters. I loved their chemistry. Although most of the character development was based around Easton, you still got a sense of who Tyler was and why he is the way he is.

I got bored. The author took too long to describe things. I didn’t care enough for the main characters.

PENELOPEEEEEEEE. Listen girl, I’m always an automatic buy when you release books. You’re amazing at capturing the characters, and their inner turmoil, and their insecurities. I feel like a fly on the wall reading your books. But babe, I need MORE. I need to know what they are doing 10 years down the road. You got me in a relationship with these folks, and you ain’t even gonna tell me how WE end.

On another note, this book was a Douglas star. I love anything she writes so I may be biased.

Age gap romance, she’s got a sh**ty past, and has OCD tendencies because of it to feel “safe”, when she suddenly finds herself with a random man at a party on Mardi Gras. That said man turns out to be a father of a 14 year old boy that’s in her class, and it’s her first year of teaching so already she’s trying not to mess up the opportunity. But this dad has her all discombobulated, from being a sexy senator, to making her feel safe and not feeling the need to check her locks 8 times.

I like how Penelope included someone that has mental health issues, and also doesn’t romanticize her coping mechanisms. She embraces it, and pushes through.
