queer love is the strongest force in the universe!!!!!!!! loved the world building and incorporation of folklore and the incredibly strong connection to place. i also really enjoyed the flips between past and present and how they came together. this book was so moving and so magical!!!

I couldn't connect with it. I think it was more a me issue, than the book really. I loved the narrator and how the story started and I might return to it someday.
