Heerlijke trilogie, en zo ongelooflijk pijnlijk hoe er reeds in de jaren 70 een analogie werd geschreven die nog steeds perfect toepasbaar is op onze moderne wereld, over klimaat, milieu, politiek, corruptie, mens en samenleving. Ploeteren en doorzetten, maar telkens een prachtige beloning. Duizendmaal genieten.

Like with the preceding Dune novels, Children of Dune excels at winding up for the pitch and continues to expand upon the tragic messianic arc of the Atreides. I really struggled to get through this one due to its pacing, though. The material is very good and has plenty of surprising turns; it just takes so long to get through.
