I enjoyed myself with this one. A little different than what I usually read but I did want to venture into this new space.
I really enjoyed the setting of being in Oxford with the added twist of figuring out the reason behind Tessa’s sister taking her own life.
I like how our FMC, Tessa, showed a lot of human features, and she wasn’t just single mindedly created.
As a human when you are granted a lot more accessibilities to those of power in both wealth and status, you kind of lose yourself and forget what your actual goal is which I think the author portrayed very well.
Saint, MMC, showed a lot more depth than I thought he would in terms of being self-destructive because of his own past and the pressure he has in his life is now.
Intrigued to see how this plays out in the second and third book. Especially with the twist at the end!
Extremely spicy and smutty!!!! Like I was a little shocked to read some of the words on the page because it’s been forever since I’ve actually seen that type of writing of explicit scenes. I will say that it’s not gonna be everybody’s cup of tea.

-After reading a dark academia book. I was in the mood for another one and I saw this book pop up on my fyp. I did like it but I didn’t love it. I like the premise of the plot and where the story can go. I think if you enjoy spice, mystery and secret societies. You’ll definitely enjoy this one. Will definitely be reading the next book.
