The writing is very simplistic and uses the very basic word to illicit emotion. On the other hand, it really does sound like Britney, and her side of the story deserves all the coverage.

I'm going to make a terrible comparison here but this was like reading a mystery. You come in with all these thoughts and opinions and then throughout the book all the clues are revealed so you come out with a changed mindset. I came into this book with my thoughts and opinions about Britney, which slowly got reshaped as I went through the story. In the end, I can confidently say I will never judge Britney the same.
This was a horrifyingly honest memoir and I loved it.

(Audio book). I’ll give it 2 stars for effort. While now I know her version of events, it felt like an afterthought since both her mom AND her sister had written books before her. Guess she wanted in on the literary action and I don’t blame her since she allegedly lost so much money while under conservatorship.
This is no Pulitzer Prize winner. It was a short read with simple vocabulary—like something I would write, lol. Entertaining but read like a resume where she explained behavior we saw in the media (JT and her in matching denim/her crying holding her son at a restaurant/kissing Madonna/shaving her head/dancing with boa/etc).
Don’t know why it was hyped so much. Whatevs.

Wow! It’s crazy and terrifying how much she’s been through. Obviously not a literary masterpiece, but I enjoyed hearing her story from her perspective, especially a lot of her early rise to fame.
