I just couldn’t get past the weird grooming relationship. Even tho they started at the same age it became weird after a few days bc he aged a YEAR for every day she lived. And he was her only friend and they met every day! I thought she would leave for college and return once she’s older and the relationship would start after she finished college. That is the only reason I read till after he kidnapped her!! And according to him he only saw her as a friend but the moment she turned 18 he is sexually interested in her?! And then he refuses to let her go and forces her to come into his world for a year? Definitely not my cup of tea!

I wanted to like this but i really didn't. I found Kirian and Quinn unlikeable, the plot was predictable, i didn't like the writing style and the relationship between the leads was giving me the biggest ick.
Quinn and Kirian meet when they are both 12-13 years old but because there's a time difference between the fae and human worlds, a day in the human world is a year in the fae world, not long after first meeting Kirian is already an adult. He falls in love with her when she's a minor and he calls her young one and it's just giving red flags all around. Quinn is homeschooled and friendless, so she's sheltered and lonely which makes their relationship feel even more inappropriate. Her entire being molds to be about him, her wants and her motivations are based entirely on him. She lacks any drive in her life for herself. She's a doormat of a main character. Quinn eventually turns 18 and is going off to college so she tells Kirian that they won't be seeing eachother for a while. He freaks out and kidnaps her off to the fae realm and upon arriving, he declares that they'll be getting married without any consideration about what she wants. Of course she agrees and isn't mad that he kidnapped her because she'll go along with anything he wants. Girl get some personality and self respect omg. At some point he carries her in an adult sized baby carrier and if i wasn't weirded out before that just took it to another level. Kirian is a 2000+ year old adult sized toddler. He's immature, reckless, aggresive, pushy, arrogant and i kept getting ACOMAF Tamlin vibes from him. The only character i enjoyed was Damon. All in all, tiktok lied to me once again.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good read. It had some plot holes and some world building aspects could be a little better but over all it was a nice romp with a few good steamy scenes.

The Fae Kings Curse is a story wrapped in romance and spiciness. This is definitely a book that sparks imagination, but it can be a little cringe to me at times with the writing style. It definitely takes inspiration from fanfiction, but still brings you into some aspects of the world. The steamy scenes are immensely deep and evocative.

I enjoyed this read. I haven't read a book like this one. The idea that he comes to visit her everyday in her world but he waits a year in his is an interesting concept that I haven't read before. It's an easy love story that I think is the perfect pick me up if you've had a long day. This is HEA ending so no cliff hanger. There is some mild spice. I'd give it a 2/5 peppers possibly a 3. <Spoiler> they do have sex in this book and is descriptive. I think that the sexual scenes in this book were done well and would satisfy most romance readers This book is full of sexual tension but in a really good way. You are felt feeling satisfied by the end which I like.
